Becoming a member

Those wishing to apply to become a member of the association must express their intention along with the application and attached documents as evidenced on the application page.

Associate Member

1.Qualifications:

• Must be a Thai national or have permanent residence in Thailand.
• Must not have a history of immoral behavior or unethical conduct.
• Must not have been convicted and imprisoned by a final court judgment for an offense that, in the Association’s view, could tarnish the reputation of the    profession—unless at least three years have passed since the completion of the sentence and the Association deems an exception appropriate.
• Must not be mentally unstable or suffer from a serious mental disorder.

2.Must not have been imprisoned by final court judgment for an offense that, in the Association’s view, may harm the profession’s integrity or reputation, unless at least three years have passed since sentence completion and the Association grants an exception.

Affiliate Member

1. Must meet the same qualifications as Associate Members.
2. Must have completed at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in architecture from a
   university or institution recognized by the Association, and must work in an
   architecture-related field under the supervision of a licensed architect in accordance
   with the Architect Professional Practice Act.

Professional Member

1. Must meet the same qualifications as Associate and Affiliate Members.
2. Must hold a valid professional license in architecture under the Architect Act in the
   principal field of architecture, and must not be under suspension or revocation of
   such license.

Honorary Member

An Honorary Member is an individual who has made exceptional contributions to the
Association or the architectural profession and has been unanimously invited to membership
by the Board of Directors.
